Meeting our little Angel......Lonia!

Dave and I recently had the opportunity to visit Dee Dorce' as she is at home in Iowa. We cannot express in words how much we were blessed! Dee, Ashley, Kelsey & Lonia are visiting Gramma Rita for a while as Lonia continues to gain strength and heal from her most recent surgery. She is the most precious little angel. Dee is very busy taking care of this little one as well as her own beautiful daughters. They met up with us at a hotel and hung out with us. The girls loved swimming! We played with Lonia and instantly fell in love with her! She is a chatty, happy little sweetie pie! We witnessed the most humble, selfless, loving, caring, giving, and commitment of Dee Dorce' who is sacrificially pouring herself and investing in this tiny little baby. She inspires us and encourages us more than she knows. They will return to California mid August for Lonia's second and most serious operation...to construct and create a rectum. She has a colostomy bag for now, and Dee is amazing changing her bags and treating her. They will be here in the states as Lonia recovers, probably until February or March. This is a long time for Dee to be separated from her husband, Wilckly (who is still in Haiti...working hard trying to keep things running there. School will be starting soon, and he has a LOT to deal with there!)

There is a HUGE need right now......If you can pick up a Wal-Mart gift card....$5, $10, or whatever you can spare....they have many costs and things that Lonia is needing while staying here. Diapers, clothes (as she grows) food, medication etc..... Please, please.....if this is on your heart, we really appreciate it!! Please mail them to me at 9 Craven Drive, Montgomery City, Mo. 63361. I will see to it that she gets them, as we will be sending things to her often and visiting her again. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
