PRAISE GOD!! Dee, Kelsey, and Baby Lonia have finally arrived in the States! They have made it safely out of Haiti and they are in California staying with Dr. Gates and his wife at their home. Lonia's surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2. Thank you to all who are praying for this miracle! GOD IS GOOD! More updates coming soon! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the most recent email that I received from Dee Dorce' re; sweet little Baby Lonia...please keep praying!


We will be leaving Friday, Lord willing. Pre-op on Monday and surgery on Tuesday. I am waiting for Marc to come from PAP with the last paper. It really takes a lot of perseverance to get to this point. Somehow God provided us with it.

This is the most recent email from Dee Dorce'.......PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ALL OF THEM!!

Great News!!!! We have an appointment at the embassy on Thursday, June 19th at 11:00am. FINALLY!!! God is so good and works in spite of our own incapabilities! Thank each and everyone of you who have been praying for this particular situation. The whole thing has been totally amazing to watch God put all the people and pieces together. It is a puzzle to all of us in bunches and bunches of pieces but to Him it is already a perfect art work that is completed.

Continue to pray we will get the visa immediately. The next thing is with the visa in hand we must appear before the Haitian social services with all paperwork in duplicated and translated in French and English. Supposedly they will take three working days to process all of it before we can leave. Keep praying that we would be in California by next Friday. This surgery is so urgent!!!! Please pray God would give Lonia the stamina to continue hanging on until we can arrive for this urgent surgery. It is amazing how God has created this little girl to be lost in the hardships and mountain life of Haiti. He led us to her and has been making the path clear from that very moment in March 2008 when we met her. She is 9 months old now. This will be an amazing witness of God's great power for the rest of her life, her families and mine. Keep praying and we will keep you informed as to our progress.

Baby Lonia....

Urgent!!! PLEASE PRAY for little Baby Lonia to be able to come to the states and have her surgery as planned. She is to fly to California this Wed. (18th) to begin her much needed surgery. Every minute at this point is so crucial for her survival. Dee Dorce' is asking for all of us to pray without ceasing for God's mighty power to make this happen! Here is her plea and most recent email....part of this is her email to Port-Au-Prince Govt. they are really hard to work with...this has been in the planning for months now, and we pray that God will soften their hearts and allow this trip to be made as soon as possible! Thank you for praying!

My name is Deana Dorce and I am a missionary here in Haiti. I have been given an appointment for Oct. 8, 2008 for a 9 month old Haitian girl, Lonia Ermilus. I am writing to request an expediated appointment for her medical condition.

She has a condition from birth. She has no anus to excrete bowel movements. There is no existing hole. At this point the bowel movement is excreted through the vagina. She is getting older and this seems not to be enough to get rid of the waste. It seems it is beginning to back up inside. Her belly is becoming bloated and she is uncomfortable and cries often from the pain.

I have contacted and made arrangements with Dr. Robert Gates in Sacramento, California. He has agreed to do this surgery free of charge and let us stay in his home while we are there. The procedure at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, California. They have also agreed to provide all services for free. Our plane tickets have been provided by American Airlines, Miles for Kids in Need. We are scheduled to fly out on Wednesday, June 18, w008. The surgery is scheduled for Friday, June 20th, 2008.

I would have contacted you much sooner however the money we paid to get her passport processed extreme urgence ended up being given to us two weeks later than they promised and that is why we are now in a panic to complete everything and still leave on Wednesday. Please do whatever you can to help us get this all expediated. I truly believe this little girl is in more and more danger with every minute that passes. The doctor is amazed that she could even exist this long.

Update on Baby Lonia....

Reservations have been made and airline tickets provided for Dee, Kelsey Dorce' & Lonia Emilus. June 18th, they will fly from Haiti to Miami/Dallas/Sacramento, where Dr. Robert Gates will meet them. The plan is for Dee & the kids to stay with Dr. Gates & his wife Beverly while in California. Dr. Gates is a Pediatric Surgeon & will provide his services free of charge as will Sutter Memorial Hospital. Please keep them all in your prayers! PRAISE GOD FOR THIS AMAZING MIRACLE!

We are in the process of bringing a 9 mos. old baby girl here to the states for a much needed surgery for her survival. God is so good! We have heard of this need, and we have received pleas from the Dorce's, to pray to God and ask Him for His guidance on this important mission. God has heard our prayers, and He is arranging for this miracle to take place here in St. Louis! Baby Lonia will be arriving here soon with Dee Dorce' to have her surgery at Children's Hospital. We ask that you all continue to pray for traveling grace, and for Lonia's surgery to be a success. We will keep you posted and we thank you for your prayers!!
