God's Servants in Haiti

Haiti is a very, very oppressed nation. A nation where spiritual warfare is witnessed by just driving down the streets. It is not subtle as it is in America. It is blatantly evident that the evil one has much control over this nation and has claimed it as his own.
HOWEVER, God is FAITHFUL and He has called faithful, God-fearing believers to the front lines of this spiritual battle. These godly believers are Wilckley and Dee. Through them God has made His presence known in a very literal sense. Through them God is showing the devil once again that HE is in control of all things.
I would do a great injustice to Dee and Wilckley if I tried to explain all that they do in ministry in just a few sentences. In reality I couldn't. They do so much for the Kingdom that I couldn't even scratch the surface. Let's just put it this way: The sacrifices they are making to God are a "pleasing aroma" to Him.
When I think of this couple tears of affection for them come to my eyes because of their love for Jesus Christ. When I think of them I think of Acts 4:32 where Luke writes: "All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had."
Dee and Wilckley live this verse with their lives. They share all their monetary blessings with the Haitian people and perhaps most importantly they share their lives. I don't know how many lives they have touched. They are too numerous to count. But I do know this they are bringing hope to the Haitian people and that hope is Jesus Christ.
The first day we were in Haiti I can't remember the exact conversation we were having in the back of the dump truck on the way to the compound, but I do remember Dee saying something that struck me. She said, "This world is not my home I'm just passing through." That is her and Wilckley's godly mentality. They understand that their citizenship is in heaven. They know better than most that all that God has blessed them with is not just for them but it is also for the people He has entrusted to their care. And when we see this earthly life of ours as being what it is"temporary" and one that is to be used for God's Glory then we will be able to generously give of our money and our lives to other people.
There is HOPE in Haiti. It is visible in all the godly missionaries in that country. I am so glad I witnessed first-hand a couple united in heart and mind who have chosen to answer God's call and be His servants in Haiti. And because of dedicated people like Wilckley and Dee, Satan once again sees that God is in control and that His faithful warriors (who fight from VICTORY) will battle until the day God calls them home.

God's Blessings to all,

Dave

Dave,
Wilckly and I are humbled by your comments and pray that we can live up to them. We enjoyed reading everyone's comments. This is a great way to help a team and the missionaries debrief. THANKS to all.
