Hello everyone!
We have been experiencing so much! It took about 5 hrs. just to get to the compound. There are NO WALMARTS so there were many stops! Dee's mom Rita, is very sweet and she reminds me of my grandma Moseley. One day we loaded up the truck and drove up high into the mountains to pass out some backpacks with toys and rice. They were so happy to get the rice! It is truly a humbling feeling. The ride home would have made the 'Screaming Eagle' at Six Flags seem like a walk in the park without the speed! "It takes longer than it takes...in Haiti." We had worship service last night, and the Haitian's put heart and soul into the service. They praise God for everything they have. Early every morning we wake to the beautiful sound of the people singing praises. My favorite one they sing is loud, with a lot of clapping! Dee said, 'It's the sermon heater, that really gets them fired up!" The ocean is in the back and the mountains are in the front. Wilckly says, "If the mountains and the ocean ever go to war, we will be in trouble!" Kista, thank you so much for the daily devotions. You put a lot of thought and prayer into it, and we miss you and mom very much! Everyone please keep Dee and Wilckly in your prayers, for their days are long, the work is hard, but their love for God shall prevail! Much love, Carla
