Update on Baby Lonia....

Please be praying for Baby Lonia as she is having her major constructive surgery tomorrow morning (Friday) at 10am. Her surgery will last 6-8 hrs. and several hrs. in recovery. If everything goes well, she will get to come home on Tuesday...(Dr. Gates' house) I talked to Dee tonight and she is very tired and has high blood pressure w/swelling feet. She is going to be seeing an OB doctor as soon as she can...there in California. They are trying to get her some assistance, as she has no insurance. Ashley will begin school next Tuesday at a private school there in California where Dr. Gates' daughter attends school. Kelsey...well...sweet little Kelsey is trying her best to be patient and she really wants to have her momma back all to herself! She is only 3, and she has done extremely well thus far! Wilckly is doing fine in Haiti right now....the best that he can w/out his family. He is working hard to get school ready there and he has been dealing with the hurricane...lots of rain and all, but they are doing fine considering. In saying all that....PLEASE KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS! They are constantly sacrificing their own lives and routines for the sake of others. Pray that God will continue to give them wisdom, strength, perseverance, good health, and safety as they do His work so SELF-LESS-LY. Although Dee is very tired, she said "My purpose is to help Lonia right now."

Also, please pray for Dr. Gates! Pray that God will literally hold his hands and guide him to do the surgery on Lonia successfully. Pray that Dr. Gates has rest, strength, wisdom, calmness and peace to help this special little girl as he uses his special talent/gift as a surgeon! We give God all the glory, and we know that He is the GREAT PHYSICIAN. We know that God has HAND SELECTED Dr. Gates for this task, and we lift Dr. Gates up to Him! Thank you Dr. Gates for your obedience to God's calling.

I will update everyone as soon as I hear from Dee tomorrow after the surgery. Thanks to everyone for your prayers!
